Card 1 of a sample batch, made with the generator on this site.

Who it’s for

  • All-hands meetings, office parties, and team lunches
  • Groups of about 15–60 coworkers who already share a workplace
  • Mixed groups of new and long-time employees

How to play

  1. Give each player a card and a pen. Players write their name at the top.
  2. Players talk to each other. When someone fits a square, that person signs it. Nobody signs their own card.
  3. By default each person can sign a card once and the first full row, column, or diagonal wins. In the generator you can allow two signatures or switch to “most squares in a set time.”
  4. Plan on about 15–20 minutes for a 4×4 card. That’s a suggestion; adjust it to your group.

Tips for hosting

  • Run it during the first 15–20 minutes while people are still arriving and getting food; latecomers can join without needing an explanation.
  • If most people sit with their own team every day, ask players to get at least half their signatures from people outside their usual group.
  • Remote coworkers dialing in can play too: send them the PNG of a card and let them collect signatures by asking in chat.
  • When time is up, read out a few squares and ask who signed them; prompts like the hidden hobby or the hometown fact usually lead to good stories.

Printing

  • Print 2 cards per page on Letter or A4 to halve your paper use; one cut down the dashed line gives two cards.
  • Choose the black & white ink-saver option if you are printing on a shared office printer.
  • Set out a cup of pens near the door so nobody has to go back to their desk for one.
  • Print at 100% (“Actual size”). More detail in How to print bingo cards on US Letter or A4.

Questions

Is this okay for a mixed group of new and long-time employees?

Yes. The prompts are about everyday habits and interests, not company history, so someone who started last week can match as many squares as someone who has been here for years.

Can I swap in prompts about our own office?

Yes. Open the template in the generator and edit, remove, or add prompts before you make the cards. Keep any office-specific prompts things most people could answer, such as a favorite nearby lunch place.

How many cards should I print for a 40-person all-hands?

Print one card per person plus a few spares for late arrivals, so 45 is a safe number. Each card is different, so extras never duplicate someone else's card.
